Handbell Ensembles

Damascus UMC has three handbell choirs for different age and skill levels. Each ensemble rehearses weekly and shares regularly in worship and in concerts.

Inspiration Ringers                        

Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:15 pm

A training ensemble for young handbell ringers, the Inspiration Ringers perform several times a year in worship.  Rehearsals include instruction in handbell technique, music education, and important ensemble experience.  Tom Baldridge, director, is delighted to welcome Madison Bowe as assistant/student director of the Inspiration RIngers.

Youth Handbell Choir

Rehearsals are on Sundays from 4-5 pm

For 2011-2012, Youth Bells will meet in three terms.

FIRST TERM      10/16/11 to 11/27/11

SECOND TERM  1/8/12 to 3/11/12

THIRD TERM      4/15/12 to 5/20/12

Ring of Joy Bell Choir

Rehearsals are on Mondays from 7:30 - 9 pm

Ring of Joy is an adult ensemble that leads in worship several times a year, playing music in many styles.  The ensemble gives a spring concert every year, joined by the other two handbell ensembles. This year's concert, At The Movies, on Sunday, March 25, at 6:30 pm, will feature favorite movie songs.
