Prayer Requests

OUR PRAYING COMMUNITY

Have you ever wondered how to have your prayer requests be made known at DUMC? Of course, sharing them directly with a brother or sister of faith one-on-one, through the small groups you are involved in, or by taking a moment to talk to a pastor… those are amazing ways to receive prayerful support. Here at DUMC, we have three other pathways for you to be able to share your prayer needs.

  • First, we invite you to use the Prayer Chain. Your prayer request will be shared with a small group of “prayer warriors” who will hold your concerns with care and with confidentiality.
  • Secondly, if you would like the church community to know of your joy or concern, we can include that news in the About Our People section of the bulletin. Include as much or as little information as you would like shared. (Information that is published in the bulletin has been approved by the individuals or family members that made the request.)
  • Thirdly, you may submit a prayer request using the form on this page.  It will be sent to Pam Richardson Colborn and she will be in contact with you.
  • And lastly, if you are in need of prayers for healing for yourself or for others, whether physical, mental, or spiritual healing, we invite you to come to our intimate Healing Services which are held in the parlor at 7pm on the third Sunday of each month. Through praying for one another, we can continue to reflect our mission to be Devoted Servants, Drawn to Jesus, and Dedicated to Making Disciples.

To connect with the Prayer Chain or About Our People, contact Pam Richardson Colborn at pjcolborn@comcast.net by phone/text at (301) 524-5223, or by putting a note in her mailbox located in the annex.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Philippians 4:6
